Approved/Denied Software

The following list contains all approved and denied software for Lexington School District Two.  When choosing software to use in the classroom, know that it may align with and support your classroom standards to varying degrees.  It also may align well with one set of standards but not so well with another.  Be sure to evaluate any new software for effectiveness in supporting the state standards for your classroom.  You can always reach out to your content coordinators for guidance on standards alignment.

There are two tabs for this list.  At the top of the list you see "Approved List"...that tab will show you all approved software for use in classrooms in Lexington Two.  Please see the "Restrictions/Notes" column for age/grade restrictions for specific software.  Some software has only been approved for certain levels.  The "Denied List" tab will show you a list of software that has been denied for use in Lexington Two, meaning you may NOT use that software with students.

If you do not see the specific software that you would like to use in your classroom, you can request approval by completing the Tech Approval Request Form.  You are not permitted to use unapproved software.  Any software purchased by the district for teacher and/or student use has been highlighted in yellow.  Don't hesitate to reach out to your instructional technology coaches, Dr. Janet Dedmon and Dr. Bridgett Wolfe.  You can contact them by emailing L2techcoach@lex2.org.  They can help with software training and effective use with students as well as selecting the right software for your learning goals.
